Meet the MEPS team at the Stainless Steel World expo 

Attendees at this week’s Stainless Steel World Conference and Exhibition 2025 are being invited to discuss the latest steel price trends with members of the MEPS research team.

MEPS research lead Michelle Kirton will be joined by steel market analysts Bryan Hall and Dan Bennett at the annual event which is taking place at the Maastricht Exhibition and Conference Centre on November 18-20. 

The three colleagues will be sharing their steel market insight with visitors. They will also be aiming to forge new relationships with market participants who can contribute to MEPS research, which prioritises feedback from trusted market participants to deliver accurate steel prices and market commentaries.

“The team and I are really looking forward to attending this year’s Stainless Steel World event in Maastricht. It’s always a great opportunity to meet with customers and research partners, both old and new, in person”, said Kirton, whose expertise is focussed on MEPS’s monthly Stainless Steel Review publication.  

“The event brings the stainless community together for three days of friendly, productive discussions. With major topics like CBAM and the EU’s proposals for the replacement of its import safeguard measures, with their possible ‘melt and pour’ rules to consider, there’s certainly plenty for us to discuss this year.” 

In 2025, the Stainless Steel World expo comes at a time of heightened uncertainty in the European steel market, which has applied downward pressure to prices. MEPS’s data shows that benchmark grade 304 cold rolled coil prices reached their lowest levels since November 2020, in Europe, during the second half of this year.
