An award-winning news and business journalist, Tom leads MEPS’s editing team, overseeing the publication of its steel market reviews and online content. He also liaises closely with steel market researchers and analysts, writing and editing articles for the MEPS website. Tom started his career in newspapers, at South Yorkshire-based publisher Regional Media. He later moved to Bauer Media, becoming managing editor at Automotive Management (AM), a B2B publication serving the automotive industry. While there, he developed and maintained contacts with high-level industry stakeholders, creating exclusive news, features and in-depth industry reports. Tom was central to AM’s busy calendar of industry events and hosted the AM News Show podcast. Shortly after joining MEPS, in 2023, Tom helped to launch the Speaking of Steel podcast.
