Michelle Kirton

With 20 years of experience in the steel industry, Michelle has dedicated her career to the sector. She started out in the architectural steel sales department at Macalloy, a UK manufacturer of steel bar and cable systems, supporting major construction and engineering projects before transitioning into the oil and gas sector at Hillfoot Multi Metals and Stemcor Special Steels. Michelle has held positions as a key account manager and in business development, technical sales, and product and project management. In these roles she ensured that high-quality parts, for critical applications, met strict technical specifications and project deadlines.

Since joining MEPS in 2017, Michelle has specialised in the research and analysis of global stainless steel markets, maintaining relationships with research partners in North America, Europe and Asia. She later progressed to the position of research lead.
