Jonathon Carruthers-Green

Jon is a steel market analyst at MEPS International, where he has worked since 2013. With a background in forensic engineering, backed by a degree from Sheffield Hallam University, he combines technical expertise with strong analytical skills. While at MEPS, Jon has gained extensive experience of writing market commentaries and producing price forecasts across a range of global steel markets. He is also a regular on MEPS’s Speaking of Steel podcast series. Jon’s recent focus has been on trade defence measures, including both the EU’s and UK’s emissions-based CBAM, and the fast-evolving areas of decarbonisation and green steel.
