Benedicte Mikolajczak
European Steel Market Consultant
Benedicte is a professional with over 25 years of experience in the publishing industry, covering the steel sector. She began at CRU Publishing, where she worked as a steel journalist. She then moved to Italy for a year and, upon her return, joined Steel Business Briefing (now part of S&P Global), where she was soon appointed editor for the Europe region.
Originally from France, Benedicte’s passion for learning about different cultures and languages led her to pursue a move to Valencia, Spain, from where she started working for MEPS International. In her role as a steel market researcher, Benedicte focuses on France and Southern Europe, gathering and analysing insight on both the carbon steel and stainless steel markets.

Outside of work, I enjoy cycling, running and hiking and have a passion for dance. Having lived in various countries I also have huge pride in my European heritage and really identify with the values of the European Union.
