Amit Kumar

Amit is part of the steel market research and analysis team, where he is leading initiatives to enhance MEPS’s price forecast capabilities. He also leads a project that aims to leverage AI tools and analytics to strengthen MEPS’s market intelligence.

Amit began his professional journey as a graduate engineer at Jindal Power Ltd. After completing a company-sponsored MBA programme, he joined the Jindal Leadership Management Group, at Jindal Steel, in 2016. Amit has worked across various business functions including strategy, business analysis, business development, and business transformation. Before joining MEPS, he served as chief of staff at Brick2wall, a startup focused on optimising India’s steel supply chain. He was also a member of the Indian Steel Association’s Sub-Economic Committee, contributing to industry-level discussions and insights.
