MEPS regional average flat products composite prices are computed from a weighted average of prices for hot rolled coil (HRC), hot rolled plate (HRP), cold rolled coil (CRC), hot dipped galvanised coil (HDG) and electro zinc coated coil (EZ). The weighting is based on the consumption of individual flat products in a specified region. Prices are collected in the appropriate local currency and converted into US dollars to provide a basis for comparison.
